Question: Best Way to Use Money as A Student?

I am an 18 year old high school graduate beginning college next semester. I have accrued $3,000 and I would like to make my small amount of cash work for me. I’ve looked into online trading, heard about mutual funds, securities, etc. but the bottom line is I am a beginner just trying to figure investing out. I understand no plan is right for everyone and there is no magic investment, however I would appreciate any advice or help for a young beginner to get started.

Answer: I would suggest making an appointment with a financial advisor. It wouldn’t cost you anything and they would be able to explain differences between mutual funds/ stocks/ etc. and try to figure out what would work best for you.
