Striker Investments

striker investments
Question: Which driver will give me the most distance without sacrificing my ability to work the ball?

My current driver is an r7 with those 4 worthless weights. I hit it really well but my stiff shaft has somehow gotten floppy near the head So its time for a new driver. I want one where I can still smash it, but one that allows me to also put slight spin on the ball. I don’t really know how to judge a driver and its qualities for things like distance and playability but I know they all vary. I keep hearing good review on the burner and on Nike but the nike driver I hit didn’t have much feel and had a lot of backspin. Any advice would be appreciated as this driver should be a long term investment and even something that might encourage me to become a better ball striker if i am not accustomed to how demanding the driver is. I have a high swing speed though I don’t know exactly. Maybe 110. Thx.

Answer: well if you have fairly deep pockets, the money is in the shaft! The new VooDoo shaft by Aldila sounds like your soul mate. The ball burns through the air, and carries forever! The head will help for your workability, and if you like your r7, then the new shaft will benefit you greatly. However, if you are looking for all new gear, the new Rapture V2 by Ping is great for distance and you can still hit that fade or draw.
