Question: I work in a financial services department in a bank. I have been working in this field for only a year…?
I have decided to go back to school to receive my bachelors in Finance. The paperwork I have to fill our for reimbursement for schooling asks how Human Resource Management directly relates to my current job or how it will enhance my potential for advancement at the bank.
Right now I work with investments (stocks, bond, Annuity’s, Mutual Funds…etc). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Answer: A Bachelor’s in Finance directly relates to your work as it will provide a foundation for you to better understand the chracteristics of key financial products such as economic considerations to more qualitative considerations in order to successfully create, manage and distribute related financial products. This will help enhance your knowledge to more effective handl your current job responsibilities as well provide the knowledge foundation you to advance to more senior responsibilities for the bank.
