Question: PowerShares Leveraged ETFs?
If your long term outlook for the S&P 500 is bullish, do these investments (Ultra S&P500 ticker: SSO) offer an advantage over Spiders or a nonlevereged S&P500 fund? I mean, who doesn’t have a bullish perspective for the S&P over the next 10 or 20 years? Why wouldn’t you buy and hold these investments for the long term?
Answer: i endorse buy and hold as long as the fundamentals are there. No one knows what will happen in 20 years heck even Yahoo may buy out google. But I also believe in diversifaction. The S&P index left a lot to be desired this year for some of my investments broke 20% profit ranges.
