Strategic Investments

Question: HELP! I have a BBA in finance and I want to get into Investment Banking, but my marks are the greatest!?

Basically, I planned to stream into strategic management, however, in my last year I found finance more appealing. Now im stuck because I have graduated and I did not do any internships during my studies. My gpa isn’t that great as well, however, I do not feel that my gpa represents my level of competence at all and that is now a little too late to change. What can I do? What are my Options? I am apt in getting into investment banking, but don’t know where to start because a lot of the big firms have minimum GPA requirements. Are there any entry level positions I should start at or other possible interships that do not require me to be enrolled in studies that I can get into? Names of firms, names of websites, what ever it is I would really appreciate the help! Thx in advance!

Answer: I do not know where you live but if you are single and willing to move I know that Edward Jones has this program called the Pass Program. What they do is for college graduates basically, they send you out to St. Louis, MO for 11-18 months for training in becoming a broker, it is a really REALLY good company to work for if you can get in it. I would check that out if you are interested: www.edwardjones.com
