Question: what would be the Best Investments for me?

I am a 68 year old female, and would like to get some input from a financial planner or adviser. I have a diversified portfolio but have lost a great deal of money. What advice would you give me? I keep hearing stay with what you have. I may not have anything to stay with if this economy does not get better. Please advise!!!!

Answer: How are you certain that you are 1) really diversified (what if GM and Intel, etc are held in each of your mutual funds?) 2) diversified into an asset allocation that is proper for YOUR circumstance?

Find an advisor locally that you can sit down with and is interested in YOUR situation. Is he/ she working for / as a RIA – Registered Investment Advisor?
